Everett: 12 Months

Tomorrow is Everett's birthday. I'm not quite sure how an entire year can go by so quickly, but it did. At 12 months old, I'd describe him as wiggly, tough and happy. He's always got something to do and somewhere to go. He rarely sits still and hurts himself pretty regularly, making him a true Simmons kid. He's a big fan of walks around the neighborhood in the stroller, sitting under my desk while I work, hanging out on the balcony and baths. He's starting to care more about books and sometimes brings them over to you for reading. He's been a fan of our iPhones for months now, but just recently has gotten better at not immediately putting them in his mouth. We've shown him a few baby apps, which he usually enjoys for about 29 seconds. Addison and Everett both like watching Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood on TV. Everett won't sit and watch, but shows definite interest and reacts happily when it appears. He's becoming more talkative and calls me "mmm-mom" or "mom." He also likes to make "da da" and "ah da" sounds. We'll have to see if that last one really is meant as Addison.

As usual, this month's photos were pretty easy. Taking his photo each month has been a nice tradition and reason to break out the big camera. I've taken one from each month and put them together below.
