December Ready

I've probably hinted at this before, but Christmas is, historically, not one of my favorite holidays. That statement alone is like a dagger to the heart for some people. For me, working retail back in college just about ruined it. To this day, I still can't voluntarily listen to Christmas music until about Dec. 23rd. I've been trying to be less of a grump about it all since Addison was old enough to enjoy it. And now that there are two kids to share the excitement with, I've decided to upgrade our tree this year. My mini tree that did the job best when it was just the two of us, is easily dwarfed by presents for an entire family. And, if you need further proof that I've changed (at a least a little) – the holiday decorations came out yesterday and I did not protest. That's two days ahead of December 1st.
