Meet Everett

As my due date got closer last week, more than one person pointed out that by this stage I had started to go into labor with Addison, so this baby was looking like he'd be late. After spending the better part of a week with aches, pains and the occasional flurry of contractions, my water broke on Thursday night after we'd all given up on the thought of a baby coming. The hospital admitted us around 11:30pm and Everett Quinn Simmons was born at 8:20am on Friday, May 17th – his due date. He surprised us by weighing in at 8lbs. 5oz. – more than a pound heavier than his sister at birth. Addison was thrilled to meet the new baby and has been a very attentive big sister. At six days old, Everett is proving to be a big eater and a solid sleeper. I think he looks a lot like Addison did, if you don't count all of his dark hair. Here are few photos I shot today.
