No Touching or Eating of the Tree

We've been dragging our feet about putting up our tree this year. The biggest reason? A Christmas tree means one more battlefield in our house. Gryffin can't be left alone with a tree or presents or anything really. And this year, we knew Addison would be a repeat offender when it comes to touching/removing items from the tree. But, it had to happen eventually...

Our impressive 4' tree is now decorated and perfectly placed in the tiny space between our couch and kitchen counter. This less-than-ideal location allows us to blockade the tree with a baby gate when we leave. This way, the tree can survive when left alone with the separation anxiety of the Gryffster. Here's to a quick and uneventful Christmas season.

My favorite ornament on the tree (thanks Meg and Jim).

She's already had lots and lots of reminders that the ornaments and lights
and tags and bows and presents are for looking at, not touching.
