As of 11:44 last night (October 1) we are no longer waiting for baby to arrive. It shouldn't have come as a surprise that as soon as the doctor provided an induction date, the baby would decide to come out on her own. That's right--her own. Addison Leigh Simmons is 21.5" long and 7 lbs. 1 oz. She is healthy and strong and is already testing the strength of her vocal cords.
All of that time we were convinced she was going to be late and she ended up being 16 minutes early. That's just like her mom, 15 minutes early to everything. :-)
There will be more updates in the coming days as we make our way home from the hospital. For now, at least you've got the vitals.
